Motorm4x game2/16/2024 ![]() I'm glad they took it down since I'm 100% sure none of the money was going to developers but to the shady publisher CI. Someone there just doesn't know how to put together one Now they're threatening us with their lawyers -Īnd that is the funny thing, because the conflict itself has nothing to do If you ask me I would never trust them with With us for 3 months in a row, how can we expect them to be able to sell The company himself), it was not announced officialy and it is stillĪvailable in like 4 countries only (CR, Poland, Germany, Australia) It had noĪdvertisement (50k euros was promissed for that by the director of They claim the game to be unprofitable - what a shocker. ![]() I don't think they will ever release the game anywhere else. This is a quote from one of the Motorm4x developers from 2008-2009: The Easy Company used to have a website and forums, but they went down along with the company. Developer went bankrupt shortly after the release since publisher was taking all the money from the sales. It's a farce - if everyone in the 80's had patented all their ideas then the entire freaking game industry would have ground to a halt by now and we'd all be out playing sports instead. The publisher (City Interactive) basicaly stole the game from the developers (The Easy Company). Personally I'd put these features in the game, stick 2 fingers up at them and let them try to sue me, but then I'm a belligerent British b*stard. If these patents were actually ever challenged they'd be thrown out in a heartbeat, but as usual the US patent office is more interested in raking in money than actually checking these things. There is prior art for both of them - there are 8- and 16-bit titles that had the target arrow, and Carmaggeddon also predates it for pedestrians diving out of the way. The 'target arrow' and pedestrian avoidance patents are just so much bullsh*t. Is it still up? I tried the link and I just got a 403 error. Wow, I can't believe I missed the demo availability.
